Visits to Peony Meadows

Our hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00AM - 3:00PM.  You are welcome to come and see the flowers in bloom, even after hours.  You can park near the road and enter the peony field from there.  Feel free to come up to the house if you have questions.  Most of the plants are labeled and there are price lists in a box on a fencepost.   If you'd like to place an order, you can call (434-973-3431) or order online.

From Charlottesville via Pantops:

Take Route 250E over the Pantops Bridge and turn left at the light (Route 20).  Continue on Route 20 N for 9 miles (Follow Route 20 even when it turns).   Look for the Peony Meadows sign at the bottom of our driveway (on left).

From Charlottesville via Route 29:

Take Route 29 N to Proffit Road (at Forest Lakes) and turn right on Profitt.  Continue on Proffit Road for as long as you can until you come to a T on Route 20.  Turn left onto Route 20.  Follow Route 20 for 4 miles even when it turns.  Look for the Peony Meadows sign at the bottom of our driveway (on left).

From the DC area:

Take Route 66 West
Take the Gainesville exit for Route 29 South, which you will stay on for about 11/2 hrs.
Some of the exits say 29 Business, but just stay on the main road.
In Ruckersville, turn left on Route 33 E and drive for about 7-8 miles.
(Ruckersville is about 15 miles north of Charlottesville)
Turn right onto Route 20 S and drive for 5 miles.  Look for the Peony Meadows sign at the bottom of our driveway (on right).

From Richmond:

Drive toward Charlottesville on Route 64W.  Take the first Charlottesville exit (Shadwell, Route 250W), and drive through several lights to the bottom of the hill, where there is a shopping center.  Turn right at the light onto Route 20N and drive 9 miles.  When you are getting close, Route 20 makes a sharp right, past a school, and then a sharp left, but just stay on Route 20 another mile.  Look for the Peony Meadows sign on the left.
